My name is Nicole Bullock, and I usually blog at www.cuteculturechick.com. I’ve been blogging for 11 years, in a variety of different sites and capacities. This is my latest venture, documenting my life and weight loss after gastric bypass weight loss surgery in February 2012.
I have struggled with my weight since my childhood, and decided to use surgery as a tool to reclaim my health. I had a laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass on February 7, 2012. In less than a year, I have significantly improved my health in all ways, losing over 120 pounds.
Beauty and the Bypass documents my journey – the triumphs, the heartaches, and the nitty gritty truth. Obesity isn’t easy to talk about, but it needs to be discussed.
Professionally, I am the social media manager for DegreeSearch.org, and I manage our brand’s online reputation, interact with our community on social media, and lead the content strategies on the company blog. I serve on the leadership board for Social Media Club of Salt Lake City. In addition to my personal blog, I have contributed to SEO.com, Pilot Wives Club, Today’s Mama, News Utah, ZAGG Daily, and several other blogs and websites. I’m on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, and lots of other social media sites. If you see a CuteCultureChick anywhere else on the web, it’s probably me.
